Jacobs Well is a Community of Authentic, Missional Worshipers of Jesus, called out to proclaim the good news of his Kingdom in words and actions by serving the people of southwest Houston and across the globe. It is our hope, that by the power of the Holy Spirit, we will daily follow the example of Jesus by loving sacrificially and living fearlessly.
We believe that we are connected to the ancient story of God and his people. We worship the creator God who spoke all things into existence. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the Apostle Paul as well as the repentant tax collector and the Samaritan woman at the well. He is the only true God and has revealed himself to humankind in the Bible; therefore we are a people of the Book. We have confidence in the scriptures, God's self-revelation in the words of people in history. The scriptures tell the story that ignites and sustains us, the story of God's relentless Kingdom.
We embrace and celebrate the ancient roots of faith and all its mystery, even as we look forward to the day when our Savior returns, when we will know fully as we are fully known.
